Halloween parties are always fun. It is fun to see the different costumes and the creativity. Scott was 'runner-up" for best costume. The guy that one dressed up as the Joker from Batman - and he actually looked alot like him. It was a little creepy.
They also have a fun a petting zoo and pony rides for the kids. So fun. Hoo-ray for Jack - he rode "Queen" and loved it!
Tuesday Clara was a disaster. I was with some friends and they mentioned trying a formula with less iron because it is softer on their tummies. So I did it. All week long she was a wreck. When I finally decided to go back to the original formula (Saturday afternoon)... within one feeding she was back to normal! Once I had figured out what her deal was, I tried calling some girls in our ward but it was too late. They were either busy or out of town for the Holiday weekend.
So what did Scott and I decide to do? We went out... with the kids. The weather was nice so we decided to go to Gateway and walk around and get some dinner at Tucano's, one of my favorites, even though I am not much of a meat eater (especially red meats) but for some reason, the all you can eat salad bar and meat gets me.... it's so delicious. But, it was actually a really fun night. The whole time we kept looking down at Jack and Clara and thinking... here we are 5 years later... out on our anniversary with our kids and so incredibly happy.
This is Jackson as he is getting more confident. Notice he is on the horse all by himself. Way to go cowboy!
I think Henry will be born on a horse in his next life. He loved it!!!

For those of you that do not know, my talented mom makes all of the grand babies blessing dresses and bubbles. My mom-in-law Lisa, gave her the adorable bow. And I made her the pearl bracelets. She was decorated with lots of love!
Her sweet little smile melts my heart.
She was such a good baby all day long! I was sure that at some point she was going to loose it. But she was able to keep her cool - I think she knew everyone was there for her. What a good party hostess.

Jack is so sweet with her. I think he is pretty much over the... "let's throw the baby in the gutter" phase. He loves her and showers her withs hugs and kisses all day long.*Notice her 2 little middle fingers in her mouth. She has created her own pacifier with them. She sucks on them all the time. It is so cute. When Scott first started to bless her, she immediatley started crying, but quickly found her fingers and kept herself quiet. Good girl.

Jackson loved it. The fire, dirt, rocks, snow, hiking, and of course family family family! It was freezing cold. Thankgoodness I took up his coat, hat and gloves because he would have frose with out it. We were completly snowed out Saturday morning - we packed up our things and headed out first thing. 
Clara did alright. Well, it was a rough weekend for her. #1... 2 days before we left, I started her on bottles and formula (not the best idea to do right before a weekend away from home with other people that have to listen to your crying baby) #2... Once again, it was freezing cold. Who knows - maybe she's just not much of a camper... ?
Hoo-ray for the fire! It kept us all toasty warm... and stinky.
My mom was fantastic with the dutch oven! Amazing chili one night, roasted turkey and cheesy bacon potatoes the next, and topped off with a apple crisp (thank you melissa) .... um um good. 
Friday we all did the ropes course. It was really fun. Thankgoodness I have grown up doing the Aspen Grove ropes course - I am a pro. Ha ha. Just kidding. This actually freaked me out a little more than I thought it would. I havn't done something like this for a long time... and the ropes that you walk across - it's pretty high up there. 
Of course Scott does it with no problem. 
Everyone did it. Even my mom, dad, and adam - who are all deathly affraid of heights. Way to go everyone! And check this one out... little Henry. He climbed up the whole tree like a little monkey!

Jack saw Henry doing it and thought he wanted to give it a try. Think again. They started putting him in the harness and he freaked out. Maybe next time my little man.
After we did the big ropes coarse, we headed over to all the little ropes coarse. The spider web that everyone has to get through with out touching it, the rope you swing, more wire walking, balancing on the log... it was all a ton of fun. Although, I am pretty sure our family made everything much more difficult than we needed to. But hey - he had more fun that way!
A few years ago, Miles came up here and built this gathering area for his Eagle project. Luckily he had a big group of people there to help him because it was a ton of work. They had to clear the land, slope it just right, dig up the ground, cut the small logs that the big ones lay on, stain the wood, and lay it all out. Wow! What an Eagle Project! Way to go lil bro.
The leaves are changing. It is so beautiful. Love it.
The reunion was a blast. It was so fun to have a weekend with my family. Rarely are we all together - usually someone is stuck at work, lame. Thanks mom and dad for planning it and thanks to everyone for all that you brought and planned to make it so fun.
