tired? yes. sleep? no.

It is 3:00 am ... and I am awake. I can't sleep. Am I exhausted? Yes!!!! But I have been laying in bed with my mind going 100 miles a minute and I can't calm it down... so what do I do? Blog of course.

It has been a crazy week. Monday started off with a trip to the Draper Temple open house with some friends from high school and their kids. I went a couple weeks ago with my family but didn't take Jack because I was worried about if he would 'understand' it. But all through out the temple all I could think about was how much he would LOVE it! So I got some friends together and we took the little ones out and taught them all about the temple, and what mommy and daddy do when they go. It was so fun to watch Jacks curious face and hear some of the questions that he had. He really is a smart kid, he learns quickly and loves the details.

Later that night I got together with my girlfriends in the ward and enjoyed our weekly BACHELOR PAR-TAY! All I can say is 'drama drama drama!" but I am soooo excited for the finale!

Scotts sister Jenna has been in town for the week. We have had a lot of Randall family time, including another trip up to Sundance for a day of snowboarding. It would have been fun, except that we thought we would be brave and head up to the top (i mean top top, like back country top) of the mountain and see how well we could do. It was a complete ice rink. And of course, I fell right on my tailbone, I landed hard, I think Scott said I even bounced. So needless to say the snowboarding day that I was looking so forward to ended right then and there.

Tomorrow (or I guess today) is my little Jacksons birthday. He is 3 years old!!!!! We are doing a friends birthday party for him, and he is soooo excited! It is all about sports. Football, baseball, basketball, soccer... it fits Jackson. If you know my kid he was born a sports fanatic, but of course it doesn't help when his dad is teaching him all of the teams, their colors, and their nick names. But of course when mom trys to talk to Jackson about it - he responds by saying - "no, just daddy knows those things". Oh-well, I have my little girl. Scott and Jack can do sports, while Clara and mom do hair, nails, makeup and clothes.

I have had major hair disasterssssss this week. Emphasis on the 's' because there have been multiple. It started with me wanting to color it. I can buy all the hair products with my esthetics liscense so I get the 'ligit' stuff and do it. I have my favorite color - it's redken. But I have to drive to Provo to get it, and I was lazy so I went to Sally's and got color there. Once there and looking at my options, I noticed there were very few demi (semi permanent) color options but tons of permanent. So I decided to just go with permanent so that I could get the color that I wanted. I go home and start to apply... it quickly starts to process and I notice it turning dark, much darker than I had anticipated (i was going for a brown)... I watch it closely and decide to take it out early because of the dark color I was seeing. So I wash, I start to dry and what color do I see???? BLACK. Yes that is right, JET BLACK. I freaked. I had to deal with it for a day... and during that time I got a lot of looks, and some sighs and some 'so... you did your hair?'. It was bad. I called my life saver friend Tracie that does hair and always has the answer to all my hair disasters. She said Baby Shampoo (because that is the most clarifying) and 1 tsp of baking soda should help lighten it. I did it immediately, and some of the color came out, but remember... I bought permanent hair color!?! Yeah - this BLACK color was in their good. So then she sent me to get a color stripper. I did it that day - and THANKGOODNESS it stripped that BLACK right out. So then, knowing my hair was compeltly stripped I applied an intense repair conditioning cream and left that on for about 1 hour.... and that was a good thing, nothing went wrong there. But as my hair was drying I noticed it was a bit orange. But honestly - that orange was better than the black, I promise! So then my friend helped me apply the REDKEN color that I love and we were able to get my hair back to my normal brown! Hoo-ray!!!!!!!!

So... for those of you that just read that entire post (don't forget it's 3:00 in the am and I can't sleep), congratulations - you know what I did this week. And for those of you that truely enjoyed it, when I am no longer in bed I will download all the pictures from this week and you can relive this post once again ;)

L.O.V.E.

We spent the entire day snowboarding at Sundance. It has been about 5 years since the last time I went so I was basically starting from ground zero. I fell just about every time I got off the lift, face planted and landed really hard on my back more than just a few times, got stuck in powder and wanted to stay there the rest off the day because it was too exausting to get out, and had soooo much fun I am planning on going back this week!!!!!!

Here we are getting ready at the beginning... full of energy! We went with some of Scott's family.
Scott, Me, Brad (scotts brother), Jaime, Kristen(scotts sister), Lisa(scotts mom).

This is all of us after we got out of the powder. We were completly worn out!
Me. Having fun, but still tired.
Later that night, Scott completly surprised me with a poem! No, I am not kidding. But he wouldn't let me post it... although it was so sweet, and really impressive.
We ended the night with dinner at Goodwood BBQ. At dinner we tried to think of things to tell eachother that we didn't know - it sparked some pretty funny conversations and we actually learned a few new things about eachother.
For Valentines Day I made Scott a video of our "Love Story"... here it is for your viewing pleasure!

Scott,

You are the love of my life. I am so lucky to have you!

Love,

Me.

25 Random Things

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1. I love Red Bull. I could live off it, but Scott limits me to only 2 per week.

2. I have been in 4 car accidents. Three of them were in high school, the last and the worst one was when Scott and I were dating, I took my eyes of the road for one second, went off the road, over corrected, when into a ditch and rolled end over end. I had my seat belt on but was knocked unconscious. Scott didn't have a seat belt on - but amazingly staying in the car and walked away with a only a sore neck. But don't worry - since then, I have a clean record.

3. When I was little I would memorize songs by writing down the lyrics and then I would sing them over and over again until I didn't have to read the words anymore.

4. In Junior High I only had 6 or 7 shirts that I liked to wear, and I had days of the week that went with each shirt.

5. I have never paid for a spa treatment...i.e. facials, waxing, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, massages...

6. I love eating healthy. I love my vegetables.

7. On the other hand, I love my candy. But I just started the "no candy" diet. Wish me luck!

8. I am an impulsive buyer. When I see something I like, I want to buy it right then. This has gotten me into trouble with Scott more than just a couple times.

9. I am a clean freak. I cannot go to bed with a messy house, dirty dishes, undone laundry... it's really frustrating. I even organize Scott's closet - even though he could care less.

10. I am not at all spontaneous, but I wish I was.

11. I hate eating out. I think it is a complete waste of money to spend on food that is never that good anyways. I would rather stay home and eat a sandwich.

12. I love to cook, but rarely does Scott get a home cooked meal.

13. I hate Sushi.

14. I can't dance. Seriously. I can't even do step classes at the gym.

15. I wore a dress to church a couple Sunday's ago - that is first dress I have worn since I was a kid.

16. When I smile, one eye squints more than the other. Look at any picture of me smiling and you will see it.

17. My right eye has a freckle in it.

18. When I was about 15 months I burned my hands on the front of the stove (back then it was just glass and got hot on the outside). I now have scars on the palms of my hands.

19. I have an outie belly button.

20. I am scared to walk up the stairs at night. If Scott is with me, I make him walk behind me, and if I am by myself I sprint... fast.

21. When I was little I was embarrassed to sing normally in front of my family, so I would make myself sound terrible. But then I auditioned for the Salt Lake Children's Choir and actually got in and they realized that I had always been faking it.

22. I only have a few really good friends.

23. My favorite evening retreat... turn out the lights, turn on some chill music and take a nice long bubble bath.

24. I love spending money on other people.

25. I broke my wrist in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade. I got stitches in kindergarten and in 3rd grade. I was a bit of a klutz back then.

I guess I am supposed to tag 25 people - but I don't know if I even have 25 people on my sidebar... so I guess I will say... if you read this - then tag!
*I also did this on face book - so sorry for the reiteration.

loving . . .

My "want" list is never ending these days, but here is what's at the top...

I love this website. http://lisaleonardonline.com/ ... Ladies take a look for Valentines Day and send it over to your husband as a hint ... I have found my husband needs something bold staring him right in the face, subtle hints - never works. I am wanting to re-design my bedding. I am loving this as inspiration! My friends mom put together this AMAZING cookbook. I don't have it yet - but my mom does and I stole once, and want to steal it again. I want these chairs to go around my dining table SOOOOOO badly!
Last year my IPod got stollen and I am still in desperate need of a new one! I love the green.

The list... It never ends.

Photo Shoot and "The New Do"

I think every kid goes through a "camera phase". Where all they want is to take pictures, listen to the "click" and see the fruits of their labor. Well - this is Jacks phase. Luckily while we were in AZ for Christmas we found our tank of camera from when we were first married (seriously it is HUGE), and we have since turned it into Jackson camera. He loves it and carries it around with him everywhere - probley because that is what he sees me do... and really... I take my camera EVERYWHERE! You never know what you might need to take a picture of...?

So here is the latest photo shoot... I figured this was also a good one because I can show of my new bangs that Melis (the best bang cutter ever) did for me the other week. I love them, but more importantly my other half loves them even more.

"Say Cheese".Trying to make Clara's same face ... please ignore the lovely "up the nose" shot. I know its tempting to blow this one up - but it's okay - you can pass.
Jack sticking his tongue out - but also having a hard time taking his eyes of the Basketball that is playing on the T.V. "Like Father Like Son".
Now there's those beautiful blue eyes.
And what better picture to end with then Clara and the spit-up coming down the chin. What can I say, she is my formula faucet mouth.

P.S. Jackson is currently obsessed with knowing the names of all sports teams - and if I ever try to tell him who is playing - he looks at me with this face that says - "like you know anything about the teams that are playing mom, only dad knows." Which is partly true... but I know a few of them out there... you learn alot when you live with a crazy sports fanatic.

New Onsie Designs

My friend made the most adorable onsies and of course.... I HAD TO COPY! So here is my copycat onsies for Clara...
They still need a little work... some crafty stitching, buttons, sparkles... you know the extras that make it really cute. I also added some fun things for the diaper bum. I did a couple sparkle onesies. The Peace Sign is my favorite! Oh - and I dyed a couple onsies pink for some variety.
Here is Clara wearing one in action.
And here she is with her signature pose. Two fingers in the mouth and hand behind the head.

Jessie - thanks for always letting me steal your ideas!
