Home Sweet Home

We are finally into our house.
We love it!
It is the perfect place for us to be right now.
I am working on getting things organized and ready for the baby.
I am trying to work extra hard - not minding if it pushes me into early labor....?
The days are counting down until I am to be induced... hoo-ray!

I will update more later with pictures of our new house and hopefully some good news on the baby!

4th of July Traditions!

The 4th of July has always been a big event for my family. My mom's side of the family all comes in town. The day starts early with a trip to the lake. In the early afternoon everyone gathers back at my mom and dads house for a BBQ. We eat the BEST food ever... hamburgers, hotdogs, salad, fruit, corn on the cob, and endless amounts of desserts! Yummy!

Candice and Adam brought up part of their slippin' slide... a big hit for everyone! We ended with our traditional trip to the Oakley Rodeo. Last year we spent most of the time behind the stands watching Jackson play in the dirt. This year was great, he was old enough to kindof understand it and enjoy sitting on our laps and watching it.
This is such a big holiday for my family. My aunts, uncles, and cousins come in town from all over and its usually about the only time of year that we all get together. I look forward to this all year long, and I am sad that it's already over and family has come and gone. I can't wait to see you all next year!

Scheduled Birth

I have always wished I could be one of those people that have their baby births scheduled. I would have the hospital bag packed, the baby room ready, my house would be clean and well stocked with things needed over the next month or so, a place for Jackson to go and someone to stay with him at night... I could be totally prepared!

Well, I got my wish. I am being induced. Hoo-ray! July 21 is the day to be exact. I am not sure of the time just yet, but I don't really care. All I know is that I have a date to be induced, 1 week earlier than this baby is actually due (which means one week less that I have to be pregnant), and I can be the prepared person that I love to be!

Things could still go a little different. I could go earlier than that date - which of course I would not be at all prepared for, but again... every day that I am not pregnant is a good day.

So I am on the count down. In less than 3 weeks I will:
1. Meet my sweet angel
2. Finally beable to see what she looks like
3. Hide my maternity clothes in the deepest darkest part of my closet
4. My obsession with food will cease (let's hope)
5. Beable to finally lay on my stomach!
6. Use all the fun little girl clothes that I have been collecting for the past 5 months
7. Experience many many sleepless nights (which I am already feeling due to uncomfort, ugh. But at least it will be with my little angel in my arms and not tucked inside)
8. Beable to diet again. Sounds silly, I know. But when I am preg I just can't seem to say no. It's frusterating.
9. Walk without waddling from side to side
10. Exercise! I know I have to wait a couple weeks, but I can't wait to get out and sweat!

July 21 - My new favorite day.

June Update

I have really been slacking off on my posting lately. Here is what we have been up to:

Utah has finally seen summer! We have been spending alot of time outside in the little pool. Jackson was a little hesitant at first (of course... anything with water makes him think twice), but as you can see it didn't take long for him to jump right in and LOVE his little kiddie pool.

Last week we traded date nights with Brad and Jaime. We watched The Princess Bride with the girls. Jackson loved the part in the woods with the big monsters, Abbie held his hand to help him be brave. Other than that he was off doing other things - thankgoodness he wasn't too into that movie - he is still a boy. The whole night we kept thinking - so this is what it would be like with 4 kids?!? Wow... we will stick to our 1 1/2 for now.
My sister Melissa has been in town from Denver lately. She came a couple weeks ago with out her kids for al ittle get-a-way time. And then she came back just last week with her kids and will be staying through the 4th of July. We all stayed up at my parents house in Heber and had a great weekend.
We went to the Zermont and the kids rode on the carousel over and over and over again. They love it!
Melissa is so funny and brought her duck bread all the way from Denver. So we went to the park and fed the ducks all of the bread. Of course, another fun thing kids love to do!
Melissa's little Jetta is about 16 months - and she is hilarious! She is the sassiest little thing I have ever seen, of course being her aunt, I love it. But as far as her mother goes - watch out! Melissa - you have got your hands full! And of course we can never go to my parents house with out going out on the 4-wheelers a million and one times over again. This time the boys found the helmets and Jackson being the funny kid that he is loved them. He would wear them everywhere, all day, all around the house... it was too cute. Its been a fun month. And the start of July has alot for us to look forward to. I have alot of family that comes in town for the 4th of July, so I am really looking forward to the fun weekend and all of our traditions.

The Beach!!!!

Scotts family has a tradition. Each year his mom gets a beach house (the location can vary) and we all meet up and spend up to a week together. This year we did Newport. It was a ton of fun! The house was just one house away from the boardwalk and right next to Newport Peir. Abbie, Jack, Nana Lisa, and Abbie! Lisa is an amazing Nana. She loves loves loves her Grandkids and of course they LOVE her in return. She is always playing with them and helping us moms out. It is so great! Thank you Lisa for such a fun week!
Davis is such a stud. He was so funny to watch out on the beach. Occasionally he would take a handful of sand and put it into his mouth. But, I think he learned quickly that it didn't taste all that great! He also loved the water. He was out crawling through the waves and loving the water as it splashed up on him. Jenna was so cute with him, she was right there on her hands and knees in the sand always playing with him. She is such a great mom!
Jackson of course was terrified of the water... suprise suprise? No. But, he loved the sand. He was always covered head to toe, and like Davis got a few handfuls of sand in his mouth as well.
Me and Jack eating ice cream cones on NewPort Peir. We brought a kite to fly out on the beach. It was so fun. There was a perfect amount of wind blowing, the kites went right up in the sky. What is a day at the beach without a kite right? It was a nice vacation for me. It was great to beable to take a nap during the day, relax on the beach, take occasional walks, and relax with family. It was so fun to spend time with the Randalls! I miss you all already and can't wait for next years beach trip. Thanks Lisa for such a fun week and for all the planning that you put into this family vacation!

Sea World!!!

We decided to spend a day at Sea World. Here are all of the strollers and little cousins - ready to see some animals!
Shamu is always a must. You just can't go to Sea World and not see Shamu. Jackson loved it, and so did I! It really is incredible what these whales are trained to do!
Me and Jack with the flamingo's.
Some of us went to a cool show with clowns and acrobats. It was kindof like a circus on water? It was incredible to watch.
The dolphins were my favorite. They are so cute.
Most of you know that Jack is kindof a terrified kid. He is nervous to do just about anything. They have a section at Sea World that has a few rides and some playground equipment. Scott and I took a break from the animals and decided to try it out. To our suprise, Jacks loved it! He loved the rides. It was so fun watching him laugh and enjoy himself. I think this means we need to get him out to Disney Land!At the end of the day Scott, Brad and Jenna decided to do the roller coaster ride. Its kinof like a "Splash Mountain". So of course, they all got soaking. But thankfully it was at the end of the day so after they we done we all got in our cars and headed home.

Sea World was so much fun. It was so fun to watch the animals and see the kids reactions. And it was a beautiful day. The weather was perfect!

Newport to Hunington Bike Ride...

One morning everybody decided to rent some bikes and bike trailers and ride from our beach house in Newport to Kristens house in Hunington. I think its about a 7 or 8 mile ride - so not too bad. I was sleeping when they left so Scott stayed behind until I woke up. Nan lisa was so great and pulled Jackson behind her bike so that he was able to go. When I woke up we got in the car and met them at Kristens house. It looked like they had soooo much fun, and they kids all seemed to love it! Kristen then took us to a little taco shop around the corner from her house. WOW! The Carne Asada tacos were incredible. Will Utah ever have good authentic Mexican food??? Scott traded Lisa on the way home and pulled Jack behind in the trailer. Kristen, Lisa, and I took little Lucy and headed back to the beach house in the cars. But of course on the way we stopped at the best ever... Beach Berries and got ourselves a little treat. Yummy!
