Denver Trip

Last weekend my family went out to Denver Colorado. For two reasons... 1. My lil sis Cami graduated from massage therapy. Congratulations! I am so excited to have a massage therapist in the family, many many benefits come from this (if you can only imagine). 2. My sister lives there with her husband and 2 kiddos. So we were all able to hang out, do a lot of fun things, let the kids play together, and spend Easter as a family!
First, I have to say how proud I am of my little guy... he went swimming and not only enjoyed it, but LOVED it! Last year we had the hardest time getting him to even go near a swimming pool, and now we could hardly pull him away from it. We went every morning after breakfast and then a few different times on Saturday. It was so fun watching him laugh and splash around.
Jackson called this little floaty dolphin his boat. He loved it! He would even play with it in the hotel room.

He also loved the hot tub. When we would turn on the jets he kept calling it a bubble bath.

Our first day there we went to a place that Melissa calls the farm. It's that great educational place that is funded by the city, so it's free to get into (I wish Utah had free fun things to do with kids). But they have some indoor educational farming things to learn about, and then you go outside and they have a whole farm with lots of fun animals to look at and old school rooms to walk through.

We packed a lunch and had a little picnic before we went in. It was so fun to watch Jack and his cousin Henry play together. Of course, a trip is no trip with out a couple pictures of Adam and Miles finding something to make everybody laugh about. We were able to get really close to alot of the animals and Jack thought it was so fun. We fed the donkeys, the cows, the sheep... even though the signs said "do not feed the animals". Henry and Jack. That night was Cami's graduation. Here she is with some fellow graduates. Our future massage therapists. It was so fun to see how many people were there to support her. Everyone was there but Scott, his flight didn't come in until later that night. But minus Scott and Melissa and Daves kids (they were home sleeping), this was the whole clan. Scott was able to fly in and spend the weekend with us. While he was there we went to the Denver Zoo. Of course Jacks loved it. His cousin Henry knows it so well, he guided us to all the cool animals. By the end of the day we were all pretty warn out. You can see Jacks resting his chin on Scotts head, I think he could have almost fallen asleep up there.

Of course he always has to see every picture after it is taken.
Easter was so fun. We went over to Melissa and Daves before church and put together the Easter baskets and did a little egg hunt for the kids. I think Jackson understood looking for the eggs, but he kept wandering over to the slide to go down it again. Maybe next year putting eggs into a basket will be more exciting than going down the slide? Here is my adorable neice, Jetta. She is such a doll and it was so fun to see her and play with her. She is 1 year old, I think 1 year is such a fun age - they are learning and doing so many cute things. As you can see the whole trip was a lot of fun. I love spending time with my family and being out in Denver is always eventful! The drive out is about 8 hours, which is long, but much better than our drives to AZ. And Jackson suprised us all by doing great! Luckily he had this little guitar, and Barney and the Wiggles to keep him entertained!

It's A Girl!

Last Monday Scott and I went into the doctor for my ultrasound appointment. As we sat waiting for the nurse to take us back we both looked at eachother and made our guess of what we thought it was. We both guessed girl. Sure enough - we were right! A sweet baby girl is waiting to join our family! We are both sooooo excited and can't wait to meet her and hold her in our arms.

For those of you that can actually look at an ultrasound picture and tell what the picture is of, these are for you. I tried to pick the most obvious ones, some just look like blures, but the ones I posted are pretty clear.
Her teeny tiny foot!

Her adorable face.

It's A Girl... and she's not hiding it.

My sweet little angel,
I love you so much! I can not wait to see your precious face and hold your little body in my arms. Just 4 1/2 more months until we are able to look into eachothers eyes and meet for the first time. Please stay strong and give me little kicks to let me know you are thinking about your family here on earth. Jackson can't wait to have a little sister and give you his tender kisses. He will take good care of you. We all love you so very much.
Love,
Mommy, Daddy, and Jackson

Jacksons 2 Year Birthday!

This post is a little late. But here was my little guys birthday celebration. Febuary 27th Jack turned 2! We celebrated it the following weekend with family. I just did the typical - Pizza, chips, vegetables, cake, ice cream, pinata... nothing too crazy - I figure we have alot more birthdays ahead of us to splurge on!

So, I decided to do a basketball theme. Jack loves all sports, all ball, all boy... anything! So when we were at party land looking at everything, he saw a basketball pinta and went nuts - so I with with basketball everything. Next we went to the grocery store to pick a cake, I let him pick between 2 basketball cakes, he picked the one with the men and the hoops. After we picked it up, I looked at it and thought - hmmm.... that does not look store bought at all - I could have made it myself and the court would at least be centered!!!

It was fun singing to him and watching him blow out his "2" candles. Along with the blow of course came quite a bit of saliva.... yummy, it adds to the flavor.
I think Jackson only ate like 2 bites of his cake and ice cream. I think that he doesn't really like cake and ice cream. I will try to bribe him with ice cream sometimes and he never wants it - and when it comes to cake, he only takes a few bites and then pushes it away. What is wrong with my child?
I love this kid! My mom and dad gave him a little tramp for his birthday. He loves it! It is so fun and helps get all that extra energy out, especially on days when we can't go outside.
10 things that make Jack... Jack.

1. He is so tender. He could cry at the drop of a hat.
2. Whenever he wants something he says, "I need that"... like he really can't live without it.
3. He thinks "jump" and "bounce" are the same word. He knows what jump means - but I absolutly can not get him to say it, he always says bounce in its place. It is so weird but funny at the same time.
4. He loves his veggies! Hoo-ray. Broccoli, peas, string beans, cabbage, lettuce, corn... I know this could change, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that he keeps up this healthy habit!
5. Anytime he has a scratch and I ask him where he got it, he says its from the "BIG DINO". Its cute, but sad at the same time. He is getting to that fictional/reality stage where he can't quite comprehend what is real and what is not.
6. He is really scared of monsters. He will not go down dark hallways by himself, he says the monsters will get him. And he always calls the monsters dino's and alligators.
7. Whenever he wants me to hold him he says, "hold you". Its so cute.
8. This past week we both came down with terrible colds. So the past few nights he has ended up in bed with me. He loves to hold my hand as he falls asleep, it just melts my heart!
9. When he gets really excited about something, his whole body tenses up and shakes - it is so hilarious.
10. He thinks he can do a hand-stand. Really its a flip like summersault, but its so cute. And he is so proud of himself for thinking that he is so big and can do it.

I love my little guy so much. Everyday he makes me so happy. Sure, he pushes me to my limit at times, but what is raising a 2 year old with out that? Happy Birthday to my baby, I love you!

Recent Pictures

Its been way too long since I have posted any pictures, so here are a few from the past couple months...
Jacks and Lillie still have that love/hate relationship going on, but sometimes they are so cute together. One day I found them sitting on the ground making faces at eachother. It was so funny. The things kids to to entertain themselves....? This is Jacks in the snow... obviously not loving it. The snow was so deep I wanted to see how high it came on him, so I put him in and of course he freaked out! He dropped his face to the ground and started to cry, and of course also got snow all over his face which made him cry even harder. Me? I was laughing. Nice mom, right?
Here is my parents dog, Cheyenne. She loves to run through the snow. I love dogs. But I still think they are more fun at other peoples houses. Ha ha. Jacks and Scott. He loves his daddy.
Abbie and Lillie has a kitchen set in their playroom that Jackson LOVES to play with. I think he brings me food on a plate almost 5 times a day. And he loves to put the apron on too. I know, I know... a little girly. But, you have to realize who he is with all day long. Me, Jaime, Abbie, Lillie, and Lucy - a house full of girls! I figure it is giving him a tender side - that's good, right?

The past couple months have been fun - I think we have kept ourselves well entertained so far.

All About My Man...

I saw this on another friends blog - I thought it was so fun to talk about my adorable husband! You all should follow in step...

What is his name? Thomas Scott Randall... he was so blessed to be called by his middle name. He never remembers if he signed up for things with his first or middle name... its all been quite confusing for him.
How long have you been married? 4 1/2 years
How long did you date? about 1 year.... wow! pretty long for us LDS couples
How old is he? 25. Scott was just reading this and reminded me that he is 26. Oops. I always forget how old we are. He obviously has the better memory.
Who eats more? ha ha... now? ME... i am pregnant. but even when i am not pregnant - i could still out eat him. he is not much of a food guy. so weird, right?
Who is taller? Scott.
Who sings better? ha ha.... me.
Who is smarter?
Scott Scott Scott. please, have you seen my test scores?
Whose temper is worse? well... lets 's just put it this way - Scott laughs every time I get mad, which of course only works my temper up more. But he always seems to think it is so hilarious to watch me get mad.
Who does the laundry? Sometimes he helps me put everything away. Other times it all ends up on the floor.
Who does the dishes? I do the dishes, he plays with Jacks and watches the football. Its an even trade. I like doing the dishes at the end of the day - it gives me a break from being on the gound.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? What side is the right? If I am looking at the bed then he sleeps on the right. But if I am on the bed, then I sleep on the right. hmmmm... ?
Who pays the bills? Me.
Who mows the lawn? We don't have a lawn. But when we did... Scott loved to take care of it. I think it made him feel like the man of the house. It was so cute.
Who cooks dinner? Me. but he makes the eggs and pancakes in the morning.
Who drives when you are together? Scott. I hate driving. But I love being a back seat driver.
Who is more stubborn? ha ha... who always gets their way? Me.
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? We're never wrong.
Whose parents do you see the most? Mine.
Who proposed? Scott.
Who has more friends? We are hermits together.
Who has more siblings? Me, but just by one.
Who wears the pants? hmmmmm.... it depends on the matter of the subject. I say we are pretty even. But I ususally get my way, but only because he loves me so much!

Update

Wow! My last post was pretty depressing, sorry I left it up so long for all of you to be reminded of the bad couple weeks that I was having! Things are going much better for us right now. For one - the weather has been a million times better than it was through January! I think this week we are expecting some temperature into the high 40's and maybe even 50's, hoo-ray! We are currently living with Scotts brother Brad and his family in Lehi until we find a place to live. And luckily we have found a great place that we feel really good about, we just have to wait for it to finsih being built. Which hopefully should only take just a couple more months.

I feel like I have a lot to look forward to right now. This week is Jacks 2 year birthday! I can't believe how fast time flies. In 3 more weeks I will find out what will be joining our growing little family. Will it be a boy or a girl??? At the end of March I get to go visit my family that lives in Devner and support my little sister that just graduated from massage therapy school. I can't wait for her to come back to Utah and shower me with pregnancy massages... for they are much needed! Hopefully soon my growing belly will pop out and people will start to notice that - no I am not just fat - but there is an ever growing baby inside of that large belly of mine! And then come April and May... summer is here, vacations start to come, and the baby will arrive. So yes, I have a lot to look forward to right now.

Mr. Sun... where are you?

Is anyone else really feeling the winter blues? I feel like this has been the most depressing winter I have ever experienced. I am not sure if I am feeling more depressed because:

a. I am pregnant
b. I have a 2 year old that NEEDS to get out of the house but can't because of the freezing temperatures.
c. I was without a car for 6 weeks - and will be yet again while the dealership struggles to get things right!
d. I am without my own home... (although a home has been found, we are just waiting for funds to process)
e. I am pregnant, wait did I mention that one already... well... it counts as 2 anways.

It has been a difficult month (just ask my husband). The freezing weather and the never ending snow has really put me into bad moods. Then add a - e ... and it was really been a bad month. I look forward to warm weather, I am anxious for a sunny day to take Jacks for a walk, and I can't wait for the snow to ease up. Febuary 2008 - please bring some decent weather, even 40's would do!
