Planet Hollywood

Scott talked me into staying in Vegas on our way to UT. Most of the time I would prefer to drive straight through. But when Scott found this Master Suite room at the Planet Hollywood for a great price, and it was for Father's Day night, I gave in. And it was 100% worth it!

The room was awesome! With a click of a button screens covered the windows blocking out all sunlight. And with another click - a projector projected onto the screen in the main living area! The kids loved it. Jackson kept asking if we could live in a house like it.

We went to the Bellagio Fountains and the kids LOVED it! Clara would clap at the end of each show.

In the morning we went swimming. Jackson and Clara loved the jumping from the shallow part into the deeper water!
The #1 reason for loving the Planet Hollywood was that there was no Casino! It was attached to the Miracle Mile shops and was right across from the Bellagio, which was great for the kids and "their curious eyes", which let's be honest... Vegas is not the most kid friendly place ;)

Jacks Soccer

Jackson has LOVED soccer the past couple months! His class just ended, but we after his Coach told us that he should be playing with the 7 year olds in the competition league... we decided to go for another round.

Jackson is fast! We love watching him run all over the field... I have a feeling that this sport is going to stick with him!

Scott's Break - Swimming

Why is swimming so much more fun when dad comes?

Because Mom refuses to get in the FREEZING cold water any further than her knees, and also claims that its not fun to sit in the hot tub when it's over 75 degrees outside. She doesn't do back-flips off the sides of the pool, and she doesn't swim around like a whale with kids on her back.

Until our pool water is heated to over freezing temps, I will always be the dud. Sorry kids. Good thing you have a dad that will sacrifice his body heat for you.

Conan!

My friend Andrea got tickets for Conan. She invited Brock & Liz (who are MAJOR Conan fans!) and was supposed to make a double date out of it with her husband. BUT the husband ended up having class and couldn't make it... THEREFORE... I got to take his place! And although I NEVER watch Conan, I of course said - yes please!

I have to admit, I felt a little selfish doing this on one of Scotts summer days off.... and have to give a huge shout out to my man for not only watching our own 2 lovely but rambunctious kids, but also taking on Andrea's 2 lovelies (not at all rambunctious children; an 8 month old, and 4 year old). What a man, right?!? Love him.

Scott's Break - DISNEYLAND

Monday we went to Disneyland. Now that all the kids are out of school and it's officially summer... it was REALLY CROWDED. For us - Disney is not too fun with lots of people. We are so spoiled with our passes, going during the winter, and basically walking on any and every ride. BUT Disney just opened up the new Little Mermaid ride, and has a new parade. So we chose to brave the crowds!

Little Mermaid was adorable. Clara was in awe.

The new parade was adorable! Clara saw Repunzel and was "STAR STRUCK"!

We made a late night out of it and stayed for FANTASMIC the FIREWORKS.

Disneyland really is the most magical place on earth... even when it's crowded ;). And if you are jealous from reading this - good - because I want more visitors! So come out and we will take you to DISNEYLAND and all your dreams will come true. Ha ha. ;)

Scott's Break - Mud Run & Hike

I signed Scott & I up for a Mud Run a while ago. It took some convincing, but I was able to convince some of our friends to do it with us.

When I told Lisa (Scott's Mom) that we were doing this, she offered to come out for the weekend and watch our kids for us! It could not have been more perfect.

The Mud Run was a total BLAST! We run through mud pits, up and down crazy hills, crawled through the mud, ran through tunnels, hopped through tires, and practically swam through the last 2 mud swamps! We were covered head to toe and in the end we were hosed down with FREEZING COLD fire hose water!

Later that afternoon we met up with friends at the Donut Man. This place is HEAVEN, and we could not let Lisa leave without having a taste of these delicious donuts!

That night we went up Mt. Baldy and did a simple hike with the kids to a waterfall. It was so beautiful!

IT WAS A BUSY BUSY DAY.... AND WE LOVED IT.

Scott's Break - Malibu

Thursday night Lisa (Scott's Mom) came to visit for the weekend! It workout out perfect with Scotts break. I packed each second of every day with something FUN. Let's just say it was a BUSY & CRAZY weekend.

Friday we took off for Malibu. We found the most beautiful beach... Point Dume. The pictures don't do it justice!

We found this AH-MAZING little restaurant just off Highway 1. Its called Cholada Thai Beach Cuisine. And wow! If you go to Malibu, you have to try it! It is mouth-watering, delicious, heaven!

We then headed inland a little to check out the hospital that Scott was born at. 30 years ago this was where Scott came into the world all because of this lovely Lady!
