Lehi Rodeo Week

I didn't participate in much for the Lehi Rodeo Week. Saturday I did the 10K and later that day I went with Jessie to the celebration at the park. We got the kids snowcones. Jackson rode on a train. We shopped through all the fun booths. And watched the little girls dance and sing... I think that was Brody's favorite part.

Poor Jackson

Jack was really sick last week. He had a fever that got up to 104.4. He was up all night long, which also meant that I was up all night long, luckily Scott was pretty helpful even though he had to get up and work all day long. Poor Clara was quite neglected and was often left in her crib until 10 am ... It started Tuesday and lasted until Sunday. It was long and miserable. He spent everyday on the couch watching movie after movie, and of course trying to catch up on sleep whenever he could.
It was heart breaking watching my little guy go through this. The 3rd night was the worst, I totally broke down into tears. I said a prayer and then went into his room and we both said a prayer together. Within 30 minutes his fever was down and he slept the rest of the night.

I am pretty sure he is finally on the mend. Yesterday was good. This morning is good. Let's hope it stays good, and I guess I would be okay with great too. :)

Lehi 10K

I ran the Lehi 10k with some friends. A 10k = 6.2 miles. I am very proud to say I ran the whole thing! I am used to running 3 or 4 miles a few times a week. And the route I take doesn't have any hills. The 10k route was hard. It was either up hill or down hill.... nothing inbetween. so that made it a bit harder...

Thank you Julie for being my running partner. You kept me running when I wanted to take a break!
I loved seeing all these faces at the finish line!
The lovely ladies.

And I have to point out Liz and her pearl earings. Who runs a 10k with pearls on?!?

This was so much fun. Although 6.2 may not be a half marathon or a full... it is alot for me and I am SO proud to say I ran the whole thing!!!

SPLASH PAD

We love the splash pad in Alpine. Its a nice change from our daily trip to the pool.

Fathers Day Pictures of Kids

This year -- I decided to take some pictures of the kids for Scott for Fathers Day. I went out with Jessie, we had fun playing around with the kids and doing our best at pretending like we were legit photographers... :)

My sister Candice did the editing. Thank you sista!

Little stud. Playing in the dirt.
I couldn't get her to look at me... so I figured a shot from behind would have to work.
I love this pink outfit.
At this point... they wanted nothing to do with eachother. And a big Thank You to my sister Candice for cutting out the large space between their backs.
Look closely... she is shoving a gummy worm into her mouth. Anything to keep the kid happy.
Love him.
A FAVORITE! I love his freckles.
Love her.
A Favorite. Thank you Jessie for acting like a dancing chimpanze while I got this shot.
Thank you Jackson and Clara for being so cute, even though you don't ever listen to a thing I say :)
Happy Fathers Day.

Friends.Saturday.Lake.Fun

Our friends, The Smiths, invited us out for a day on the lake. We were soooo excited! The guys went out early to get some good wakeboarding runs in. And then all of us girls met up a little later with the kiddo's.

Scott got some great runs in... and thank you to David Gustin being on the boat with his AMAZING CAMERA... he got some great shots! photo from: David Gustinphoto from: David Gustin

US.
Morgan and Nixon surfing.Jackson saw Nixon surf and decided to give it a try. He honestly was excited at first.
But as soon as he hit the 68 degree water, he FREAKED OUT! But of course, me being the mom that I am made him stay in anyways. Scott got up with him - despite the fact Jack was holding on so tight he could hardly see in anything.Scott got him to loosen the grip around his neck - but he still kept screaming for his life. The ride didn't last too long, and of course as soon as Jack was back in the boat everyone praised him for being so brave. Way to go little man, mommy can't wait for round 2!
Clara was OBSESSED with the water, so we decided to give her a try too. David Gustin was already out and willing to pull her up. We got her in.
The temp of the water was no big deal.
But then the boat turned on... and the wound of the engine FREAKED her out. She started to cry.
And then she started to scream... so we brought her in. Maybe next time we will try with the engine on the whole time.
But as far as the tube goes -- she LOVED THAT!
